Third Level Tuition Fees

You can claim tax relief on qualifying fees that you have paid for third level education courses

You may be the student, or you may pay the fees on the student’s behalf.
However you can only claim the relief if you are the person who actually paid the fees

For Full Time Students:

• Can claim tax relief on any fees paid above the disregard amount of €3,000 per year
• Maximum claim is €7,000 per course year

For Part Time Students:

• Can claim tax relief on any fees paid above the disregard amount of €1,500 per year
• Maximum claim is €7,000 per course year
